RTTNews - Tuesday, the Federal Customs Administration reported a decline in the Swiss trade surplus as exports dropped in May. The trade surplus totaled CHF 2.01 billion in May, down from CHF 2.55 billion in April.

Exports decreased 7.4% in May from April in real terms, reversing a 9.5% growth in April. In nominal terms, exports recorded a monthly drop of 8.7%. Meanwhile, imports in real terms declined at a faster pace of 5.7%, while it fell 2.6% nominally.
