Switzerland released the trade balance figures for September, where the trade surplus widened to 1.85 billion franc from the revised previous of 0.76 billion from 0.81 billion francs.

Moreover, Switzerland seasonally adjusted exports also expanded by 3.4% from the revised previous drop of 6.9% from 7.0%, especially after the Swiss National Bank intervened to control the rapid incline seen on the franc, which hurt the economy and the exports in the past months.

In addition, Switzerland seasonally adjusted imports also surged due to a weaker franc, where the index expanded by 1.3% from the revised previous drop of 0.3% from the expansion of 0.9%.
