Taco Bell is getting ready to launch a new flavor of Doritos Locos Tacos. Taco Bell

Taco Bell released a video hinting at the addition of a new flavor to its Doritos Locos Tacos series. While it's not clear exactly what the new flavor will be or when it will be available, Taco Bell insiders speculate the new flavor will likely be inspired by Doritos' chili-lime flavored Flamas chips. If the predictions are correct, the new Doritos taco shell will be spicier than the Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch flavors currently available.

The Irvine, Calif., company released the 11-second video last week via its YouTube page with the cryptic message, “new DLT.”

Taco Bell, a subsidiary of Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE:YUM)., has been having enormous success with the integration of the Doritos Locos Tacos into its already popular menu. While the company first introduced the nacho cheese DLT in March 2012, Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed told the Daily Beast in an interview earlier this year, “It has been the biggest launch in Taco Bell history.”

Creed said Taco Bell added 15,000 jobs to help handle rapid growth of the company's brand after the launch of the DLT.

“We believe we can add 2,000 new restaurants in the next 10 years, because what we have is proprietary and exclusive,” he said.
