RTTNews - Taiwan's exports 31.4% year-on-year in May to US$16.17 billion, the Ministry of Finance said Monday. In April, exports were down 34.3%. Economists expected a fall of 34%.

Imports dropped 39.1% annually to US$13.01 billion, after a 41.2% fall in the preceding month. Economists expected a decline of 39%.

The country recorded a trade surplus of US$3.17 billion in May, up US$945.9 million from the same month last year.
