RTTNews - Friday, a report by Taiwan's Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics said the total non-agricultural payroll employment declined 0.34% month-on-month in March to 6.29 million. Compared to the previous year, the employment fell 4.34%.

Average monthly earnings for the manufacturing and service sectors, which includes regular and irregular incomes slipped 6.21% on a monthly basis in March to TWD38,884. On a yearly basis, the earnings declined 3.67%.

Meanwhile, the average monthly hours of work totaled 180 in March, up 16.4 hours from February, but down 2.9 hours from last year.
