-- Top contract chipmaker TSMC (2330.TW) bought land in Taiwan's science park from Powerchip Semiconductor Corp 5346.TW for T$2.9 billion ($960 million). TSMC would use the land to build two chip plants, which will lift its monthly production capacity to above 250,000 units. (Commercial Times)
