On March 9, the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) announced the operating data of TAM for February 2009.

According to ANAC, the São Paulo based airline, TAM, registered a 1.9% reduction in domestic demand compared to the same period last year, and a 13.6% increase in domestic supply.

In February, market demand decreased 0.6% and market supply increased 8.2%. TAM registered domestic market share of 49.8%, a 0.6 percentage point decrease compared to the same period in 2008.

In the international market, TAM registered 12.6% growth in demand and 16.9% in supply, compared to February 2008.

The Southern Hemispheres busiest airline attained an international market share of 85.1 percent.

TAM operates scheduled services from São Paulo to destinations within Brazil, as well as international flights to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and Germany
