Tarek El Moussa Celebrates 36th Birthday With His Two Kids

“Flip or Flop” star Tarek El Moussa on Monday celebrated his 36th birthday with children Brayden who just turned 2, and Taylor, 6. Tarek shared a series of adorable photos of him with his kids during his birthday bash on Instagram.

“Daddy’s b-day!! WOW I can’t believe I turned 36 today!! Brayden was born 4 hours before my birthday! Scroll through these pics....(swipe the photo to see the collage)....my kids are just full of joy and happiness and I’m the luckiest father alive!!!! OH AND ME AND MY DAD FINALLY TOOK A PIC!!! He’s in the slideshow!” the realtor wrote in the caption.

Us Weekly noted that a day earlier, they celebrated Brayden’s second birthday. However, the tot’s mom, Christina El Moussa was noticeably absent in the party. Tarek explained that he and his ex decided to hold a separate birthday celebration for their son this year to make it “a little more comfortable for everyone involved.”

“We’ve been going through our situation and I felt like today, it might be better if we stay separated,” Tarek told Entertainment Tonight. The party happened just four days after Christina responded to Tarek’s divorce petition.

In her petition, Christina requested joint legal and physical custody for their two children. She also asked for spousal support and that Tarek pay her attorney fees.

When asked about Christina’s response, Tarek had no problems with it. “It’s part of the process,” he told ET. “Eventually we’re going to get divorced, continue to work together [on ‘Flip or Flop’], co-parent, live great lives.”

For the father-of-two, the hardest part following their split is adjusting to a completely new life. They will be living separately and perhaps with someone new. In July, Christina turned 34 and she celebrated it with her new beau, Doug Spedding. The couple was even photographed kissing outside Montage Hotel.

Meanwhile, Tarek admitted that he is already dating, but it’s nothing serious. His priority right now is his kids.

“No matter what you do, they’re going to be aware of the [divorce] situation. So, the best thing that we’ve done is let them know that we love them… we still love each other, you know, and we’re still family. We’re still a unit,” Tarek said.
