TASER International is currently showing a gain of 3.6%. Early this morning, the maker of stun-gun technology acknowledged that it received 3 large orders from various law enforcement agencies. The Houston Police Department requested 480 X26 Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) and related accessories. TASER Chairman and Founder Tom Smith noted that We are pleased to see our largest law enforcement agency customer purchase 480 more TASER X26 ECDs, adding that This order will now provide the Houston Police Department's patrol officers with over 4,300 TASER X26 units.

Next, the Suffolk Police Department in Suffolk, Virginia, ordered 140 X26 ECDs, 140 CAM recording systems, and related accessories. Finally, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department in my old stomping grounds of Chattanooga, Tennessee, ordered 110 X26 ECDs, 110 CAM systems, and the accessories to go with it.

All of the orders are scheduled to ship by the end of 2007.

So far today, the equity's upward momentum was stopped in its tracks by its 10-day moving average, hovering overhead near the 15 level. This trendline, together with the stock's 20-day, has been guiding TASR shares lower since early October.
