Former "Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen is all done with acting. At least, that's what the 18-year-old told Elle magazine.

"I quit 'Gossip Girl' and now tour and am in a band . . . that's pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life," she told the magazine.

Momsen, who played Jenny Humphrey on the hit television show, quickly traded in her clean Upper East Side school girl make up for dark eyeliner, stripper boots and long blonde rocker hair when the actress quit the show.

Six months after announcing an "indefinite hiatus" from "Gossip Girl," it was confirmed that Momsen was off the show for good, according to Us Weekly.

Momsen and her band, The Pretty Reckless, have experienced everything from the "Late Show with David Letterman" to touring with Evanescence to mostly recently performing at the 2011 Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.

The Pretty Reckless released their first album, "Light Me Up," in August 2010.

The young star's short resume includes "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with Jim Carrey, "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams" and Gus Van Sant's "Paranoid Park."

Momsen is not the first young actress to publicly quit acting. In June 2010, "What I Like About You" star Amanda Bynes announced her retirement from acting, only to retract her words one month later.

"I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it," Bynes wrote on her Twitter account at the time.

Maybe Momsen will pull the same stunt.

For now, here's a photo tribute to Taylor Momsen, actor-turned-full-time musician.
