Taylor Swift just turned 28 on Wednesday, and her birthday celebration this year was nothing short of spectacular especially since she received several heartfelt messages from her fans and closest friends.

One such message was made on Instagram by “Fetish” singer Selena Gomez. She posted a video showing her and Swift sans any make-up and wearing oversized sweatshirts.

Gomez then wrote that she is thankful for the day Swift is born, and she is proud how her friend makes an impact with her lyrics because not everybody is able to express their feelings as well as she does.

She added that Swift has a huge heart, and she hopes everybody would be able to see that as well.

Meanwhile, Swift posted about her birthday as well on Instagram. She said 2017 has been wonderful for her, and this year has only made her eager to welcome 2018.

Swift’s career is on the upswing again now that she is busy promoting her new album, Reputation. But not only that, Swift probably considered 2017 as amazing because she has a good and steady relationship with her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

A source even told People that their relationship is better than ever, and they have even managed to work on their busy schedules. “She has been more busy with work and traveling, but Joe continues to be supportive and great,” said the Swift source, who added that the two are even planning to spend the holidays together.

When Swift goes on tour next year, “Joe will travel with her as much as possible,” added the source. “Taylor is still very happy with him.”

Prior to dating Alwyn, Swift went out with “Thor: Ragnarok” star Tom Hiddleston and before that, DJ Calvin Harris. Although Swift ended things with Hiddleston amicably, the same cannot be said of Harris who ranted against his ex-girlfriend on Twitter because of the song, “This Is What You Came For.”

Swift came forward and admitted that she wrote the song under the pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg. This upset Harris because the revelation made “ME look bad at this stage.”

But Harris later backtracked on his Twitter rant and told GQ Magazine, “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
