Evangelist pastor Ted Haggard may have taken a slight step out of the spotlight following his involvement in a drug-fueled sex scandal, but he is certainly not hiding as reports have revealed that he might be taking part in the television sensation Celebrity Wife Swap.

The former New Life Church pastor and his wife, Gayle, have been rumored to appear in the new ABC reality series, on which he will swap partners with Hollywood actor Gary Busey and his partner and baby, Steffanie Sampson, ColaradoSprings.com reported.

Haggard resigned from the National Association of Evangelicals that he had founded, after he was thought to have had meth-fueled sex with a male prostitute. The Church ousted him out concluding an investigation saying he was guild of sexually immoral conduct.

Haggard admitted to receiving a massage from the male prostitute, Mike Jones, who claimed to have had sex with the reverend for over three years. Haggard denied the sex charges. He admitted to buying drugs from Jones but said he ever used it.

I never kept it very long because it was wrong. I was tempted. I bought it. But I never used it, Haggard said, CNN reported.

Jones professed his allegations to the publish because of Haggard's support for a state constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

For someone who is up there preaching that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, and he's going behind his wife's back and seeing a gay man for sex -- I felt like I owed it to the gay community to expose the hypocrisy, Jones told CNN

Although Haggard denies having had sex with Jones, he told GQ magazine that if he were 21 in this society, he would have identified himself as a bisexual. We never had sex, sex, I bought drugs and a massage from him, and he masturbated me at the end of it. That's it, he said.

If the rumors are true, Haggard will be swapping wives with Busey, 67, who is a born-again Christian and active minister with and active member of the Promise Keepers. He has been divorced twice and will be appearing on the show with his girlfriend and child. However, ABC producers have not confirmed any of the rumors yet.
