We've watched them grow from young teenagers expecting their first child(ren) to young adults working and living in their lives in front of the camera. Whether you're a fan of "Teen Mom OG" or "Teen Mom 2," it's quite possible you've once wondered: what do these girls do for a living? While it's common knowledge the girls are paid to appear on the shows, viewers should be aware MTV isn't the only one giving them a paycheck.

Here's what we've uncovered about the "Teen Mom" stars' off-camera jobs:

Farrah Abraham

What hasn’t Farrah done for work in recent years? While she is best known for her role on “Teen Mom OG,” MTV isn’t the only network she has worked for. Farrah starred in VH1’s reality series “Couples Therapy” in 2014. She most recently appeared on E! for an episode of their plastic surgery series "Botched."

But Farrah is not just a reality star, she is also an actress, singer, author and entrepreneur. In 2014, she released a music video for her single “Blowin.” Her IMDb page reveals she has two horror films in the works, “Zombie Priest” and “Axeman 2: Overkill.” Her 2012 book “My Teenage Dream Ended” making it on New York Times’ best sellers list. To date, she has also released three romance novels, titled “Celebrity Sex Tape Book.” One of her latest business ventures, a “Mommy and Me” spa set with Heather Marianna, was announced Thursday.

Farrah also has her career in the adult entertainment business. In 2013, Vivid Entertainment released her sex tape with James Deen. On Friday, she announced her plans to release an “adult novelty toy line.”

Kailyn Lowry

"Teen Mom 2" star Kailyn is working on earning her college degree and is currently attending school full-time. When she’s not hitting the books, she’s writing. The self-classified “momtrepenuer” released her memoir, “Pride Over Pity,” in April 2014. In order to promote the book she went on a tour alongside “Teen Mom OG” star Amber Portwood. Their side-by-side appearances were featured on an episode of ‘“OG” in April. Following the success of her memoir, Kailyn will release a children’s book on Nov. 17.

Jenelle Evans

Despite being offered a deal to star in a sex tape like Farrah and “Teen Mom 3” star Mackenzie McKee, she reportedly turned down the chance. Instead, Jenelle went on to achieve a higher education. She graduated from college on July 24 in the quest to become a medical assistant. Prior to her graduation ceremony, the “Teen Mom 2” star revealed to fans she has yet to land a job in her field but was on the lookout for an opening.

Catelynn Lowell

"Teen Mom OG" star Catelynn and her soon-to-be husband Tyler Baltierra did everything in their power to better their lives after giving their first daughter, Carly, away for adoption in 2009. In April 2014, ahead of the arrival of their second daughter, Nova, they told In Touch that they both had 9-5 jobs caring for developmentally disabled adults. They frequently conduct speaking engagement to share their experience with adoption with others. The couple also released a book about their journey, “Conquering Chaos,” in March.

Leah Messer

Leah has been trying to get an education on and off since for years since welcome her twin daughters on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant.” Over the course of six seasons of “Teen Mom 2” she worked at several different jobs, from being a part-time dental assistant to a tanning salon attendant. In 2014, according to Starcasm, she pursued a career in cosmetology by attending beauty school. She also revealed to her Twitter followers that she was working as a Mary Kate makeup consultant. Leah recently completed a stint in rehab, allegedly for stress and depression, and her current off-camera gig (if any) is unknown.

Maci Bookout

"Teen Mom OG" star Maci is working mom of two. Amid her efforts to earn her degree in Media Technology from Chattanooga State Community College, she started a 9-5 job in July 2014, according to WetPaint. While Maci did not specify where she was working, her use of a sunglasses emoticon in her announcement post had some fans guessing she was clocking in at a local Sunglass Hut. Since then, she has released a memoir, titled “Bulletproof." Maci partnerned with Candie’s Foundation in 2013 and works to promote pregnancy prevention awareness. She frequently promotes the organization's cause on Instagram. She also participates in endorsement deals with the Fab Fit Fun and 20th Century Fox, promoting films such as "Paper Towns."

Chelsea Houska

“Teen Mom 2” star Chelsea was open with her career plans since day one of the show. She enrolled in Stewart School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, during the show’s fourth season. The following year, the docuseries showed her graduating from their esthetician program with her family and daughter Aubree by her side. She now works as an esthetician and is frequently shown at her place of work on the show.

Amber Portwood

Like Maci, "Teen Mom OG" star Amber has also released a memoir. “Never Too Late” debuted in August 2014. Amber earned her GED in prison in 2013 while serving time for drug possession and violating her parole.
