Things got real during part one of the “Teen Mom OG” reunion special. Longtime “Teen Mom” Amber Portwood slipped into her old angry ways during the show after her relationship with fiancé Matt Baier was called into question.

Dr. Drew sat down with Amber and her fiancé to discuss their relationship. When Drew expressed concerns about how fast she and Matt went from strangers to engagement, the reality star conceded the relationship might be “hard for people to understand” but added that they were “happy” and that’s all that mattered. The tension mounted when Dr. Drew brought up the couple’s previous struggles with addiction, suggesting a dramatic change was perhaps not the best idea. While Matt seemed to agree that he “probably should” keep in contact with his sponsor given the situation, Amber was less receptive to the doctor’s suggestions.

“I’m about to walk off this stage. It’s getting annoying,” she said. “It is what it is. We’re not addicts. We’re not fighting. We’re not beating each other up. We have a normal relationship, and I feel like this is nothing but attacking.”

Dr. Drew is not the first person to express concerns about the pace of the relationship. During an earlier episode of the MTV reality series, both Amber’s cousin Krystal and her brother Shawn urged her to reconsider getting married. As Us Weekly reported, Krystle, who is not just a relative but a close friend, told Amber she found the engagement to be “just weird.” Her brother shared similar feelings on the impending nuptials. Clearly frustrated, the “Teen Mom” star told them both she shared their concerns, but “when you love somebody, you love them.”

Matt, who is 19 years older than Amber, 25, was introduced to the show in episode 6, which aired April 27. As we previously reported, she and her man met through Twitter. He had been a longtime fan of “Teen Mom” and was eventually able to connect to Amber directly. Their relationship grew from there. The Boston native revealed during the reunion that he moved out of his home just a few hours after their first meeting. They have been inseparable ever since.

Amber has not announced when she and Matt plan to tie the knot. It has been rumored, however, that they are considering documenting their nuptials for MTV's cameras. The network has yet to address these claims or announce a wedding spinoff.

Part two of the “Teen Mom OG” reunion airs June 8 at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV. Check out clips from Amber’s emotional discussion with Dr. Drew below.
