Teen Wolf Season 5 Spoilers

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 is bringing in a dangerous new villain. The Dread Doctors are new mysterious creatures that are coming for Scott’s (Tyler Posey) pack. However, Posey already revealed that Scott won’t be able to defeat these bad guys in Season 5.

“These are our only villains that carry on to the next season,” Posey told E! News. “Teen Wolf” villains like Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) or the Benefactor were all defeated within one season. It seems these new baddies will carry on to next season.

It isn’t clear if that means Season 6 or the second half of Season 5, airing next year. Season 5 of “Teen Wolf” might mirror Season 3, the only other time they’ve had a 24-episode order. In Season 3A, the pack had to worry about the Alpha pack while Season 3B focused on the Oni and the Nogitsune that possessed Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), making it almost feel like two separate seasons.

In any case, it looks like fans will have to get used to the Dread Doctors. “They have another [season],” director Russell Mulcahy confirmed. “They will carry on because they will evolve.”

The cast and crew of “Teen Wolf” have been teasing these villains for months now. Back in April, Posey explained that he couldn’t wait for audiences to see them. “They’re very scary,” the 22-year-old actor told TV Line. “When I first read this season, I was so excited about these villains — more excited than I have been about any villains before. They’ve got powers we’ve never seen before, they’re tall as hell and they’re awesome.”

That means Scott and the gang will have to stay on their toes, which might be tough. Even though the first five minutes of the Season 5 premiere revealed that Lydia (Holland Roden) has new control over her banshee powers, it might not be enough to save her friends. In a promo released on Friday, it looks like the students of Beacon Hills High will have some trouble dealing with the new forces of evil. “The rules have changed,” Deaton (Seth Gilliam) warns.
