Deputy Parrish never had a romance with Lydia on “Teen Wolf,” despite many hints that they would get together. MTV

Ryan Kelley hasn’t exactly had a love story on “Teen Wolf,” but his hellhound character Parrish certainly had a lot of sexual tension with Lydia. The MTV drama kept hinting at a connection between Lydia and Parrish, but ultimately, Lydia got together with Stiles. Kelley says that even though the romance never came to fruition, the spark was surely there.

“They definitely teased you with it, then it didn’t happen. But whatever happened or didn’t, and whatever people were hoping for, Parrish did have a connection with Lydia [Holland Roden] — and vice versa,” the actor revealed to TVLine. “They’re both people who had recently discovered that they’re supernatural, so they went through the same thing.”

Of course, there is the problem of Lydia being a teenager. While her maturity attracted Parrish, but the age difference is also likely why the deputy never made a move. “Parrish is a little older, but Lydia is wise beyond her years, so they clicked. They definitely had a friendship, and Parrish wanted something more, but it wasn’t his place to do anything,” the actor explained.

Kelley isn’t holding a grudge though. He even enjoyed the dramatic Season 6 arc between Lydia and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien). “So, personally, I’m sad that Lydia and Parrish didn’t get to explore their relationship more,” Kelley said. “But as a fan, I totally get it. It didn’t need to happen. Last season was an amazing storyline, and it couldn’t have happened if Lydia had been with Parrish.”

Unfortunately, it seems like the Parrish/Lydia romance isn’t the only storyline going unresolved. The actor teased that not every question will be answered by the time the “Teen Wolf” series finale airs.

“This being the final season, and the fact that we all found out halfway through shooting Season 6, there are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up. Fans of the show want to know more about every character, but because we only have X amount of time left, certain things probably won’t get to be answered,” he warned.

Still, fans can anticipate many answers in the final episodes. Expect some more danger too. Liam exposed himself as a wolf on a crowded street in the last episode, and that will have some serious consequences in Sunday night’s episode. When he goes to school, he’ll find that he might have some new enemies.

Sunday night will actually bring viewers two new episodes of “Teen Wolf.” Episode 14 will air at 8 p.m. EDT, and episode 15 will debut at 9 p.m. EDT. The double dose makes up for “Teen Wolf” spending next week off the air. The MTV Video Music Awards will take its place.

“Teen Wolf” Season 6 will wrap up with the series finale on Sept. 24. Of course, that might not be the last audiences see of teen werewolves. As previously reported, there have already been discussions to reboot the series. MTV is considering a podcast first before fully bringing the series back in a couple years.
