“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice sent a special message out to her fans on Twitter on Wednesday, the same day her husband, Joe Giudice, began a 41-month prison sentence for fraud and bankruptcy at the Federal Correctional Institute in Fort Dix, New Jersey, a low-security prison in Burlington County.

Giudice, 43, kept her message short. “I want to thank all of you for the love & support you have shown my family during this difficult time. It means the world to all of us,” she wrote to her 1.05 million followers.

Joe entered the prison at noon EDT, Radar Online wrote. Before his surrender, he said goodbye to Teresa and their four daughters: Gia, Gabriellea, Audriana and Milania, at a New Jersey bakery.

Other close family members also were there. “His brother, his sister and several other family members of the Giudice family, as well as myself, were present when he turned himself into the prison, including Teresa,” Teresa’s attorney James J. Leonard Jr. told the publication Wednesday. “It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away.”

Joe’s incarceration followed rumors that Teresa was pregnant with their fourth child and they were heading toward a divorce. “Teresa is not pregnant. She and Joe have four beautiful daughters together -- their family is more than complete. They are not looking to add to it,” the reality star’s attorney told E! Online last week. “While we are at it, Teresa and Joe are not getting a divorce. Not now, not in six months, not ever.”

Teresa served 11 months for a fraud conviction in Danbury, Connecticut. She was released from federal prison less than three months ago.
