Two football players at Texas A&M University were arrested last weekend after police allegedly found them to be in possession of marijuana.

According to a police report, Texas A&M football players Isaiah Golden and Darian Claiborne were found parked in a handicap spot outside of an apartment in College Station, Texas, TMZ reports. Devante Noil, a top football recruit, was also discovered in the vehicle.

Police officers reportedly detected a distinct odor of marijuana and decided to search the vehicle, the website said. Claiborne, Golden, Noil and a fourth unidentified man were detained as authorities searched for illegal substances.

The search yielded 1.9 grams of marijuana and a bottle of liquor, the police report says. Claiborne, Golden and Noil are all under the legal drinking age of 21.

Authorities also allege that Claiborne was a disruptive presence during the search. The Texas A&M linebacker reportedly “became very loud … complaining that this was going to ruin [his] college football career,” the police report said, according to TMZ.

Golden was arrested and charged with possession of the marijuana, while Claiborne was arrested for what police described as a “noise violation.” Noil was released without incident.

For Claiborne, last weekend’s arrest is just the latest in a series of legal trouble. In December, he allegedly hid marijuana and prescription pills inside of a Hershey’s Kiss ornament during a traffic stop. The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana, TMZ reported.
