The recently announced “That’s So Raven” spin-off is picking up steam. Casting for the Disney series is reportedly underway.

Details of some of the show’s characters have been released via E! News, and it looks like the series will be just as fun as the original one. Disney is reportedly starting to look for the actors who will play Raven Baxter’s (Raven-Symoné) children.

Nia, Raven’s first child, will inherit her ability to see the future. The character is described as a confident young girl who is great at science but usually “finds herself in over her head.” Raven's second child is Booker, a mama’s boy.

While details of new characters have already been released, it has not been confirmed if original cast members of the show — except for Raven-Symoné — will also join the spin-off.

However, Orlando Brown, who played Eddie in the original series, has already expressed his interest in being part of the project. In a video obtained by TMZ, Brown said he and the other members of the cast should be part of the spin-off because they played a big part in making the original one a success. “‘That’s So Raven’ is nothing without Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol), Kyle [Massey], which is Corey,” Brown said. “You got T’Keyah Crystal Keymah. You got Rondell [Sheridan]. We all are family. We did what we had to do to make a historical moment happen, and I don’t think it would’ve happened without all of us.”

Disney and Raven-Symoné, who will also produce the show, have yet to say whether there will be original cast members in the spin-off.

Meanwhile, Raven-Symoné announced her exit from “The View” in late October, according to the Los Angeles Times. Raven will concentrate on producing the Disney series as well as reprising her role as Raven Baxter. The character will be a single mom in the series.
