Rachel House has been in almost all of Taika Waititi’s movies, so with the filmmaker directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Thor: Ragnarok,” it does not come as any surprise that House will be joining the cast as well.

She is described as Waititi’s “good luck charm,” and for “Thor: Ragnarok,” House will use her charm as Topaz, the bodyguard of the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum).

“She's a little bit strict with him at times,” House told the Los Angeles Times about her character. “But she’s also quite petulant, when he shows his affections toward other people: not happy, very protective and easily jealous.”

Waititi himself won’t remain behind the scenes throughout the entire movie, since he plays Korg - an 8-foot-tall Kronan warrior made of purple rocks. Korg was supposed to have only a few scenes, but Waititi jokingly said that it was such an incredible treat working with “Taika Waititi the actor” that they added to his screentime.

“When Taika Waititi the director comes across someone like that, it just seems appropriate to give that actor a bit more time to show what they can do. I did that, and my theory was correct. I was, he was that good,” he joked. “As an actor, I highly valued Taika Waititi the director, who was very generous to me in giving me a few more takes than everyone else, and really let me show what I can do.”

Hemsworth will be back to reprise his role as the god of thunder, Thor, in the upcoming film. He earlier told Empire that “Ragnarok” is “probably the most fun I’ve had on a Marvel film,” thanks to Waititi’s comedic and contemporary spin.

For fans who are worried that Waititi completely changed the tone of the “Thor” franchise, Tom Hiddleston, who plays the mischievous Loki, provided some words of assurance. “Taika’s been so respectful to the mythology,” he said. “But he’s injected so much humour into it. He’s given every character truly laugh-out-loud moments without betraying their integrity.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released on Nov. 3.
