Hela (Cate Blanchett) is poised to become the most formidable villain that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will face in his life, so fans better be prepared for some heavy blows and expect the loss of certain characters in the franchise.

One such character is Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif. She was first introduced in the 2011 movie “Thor” as one of Thor’s closest friends, although many believe she has a thing for the god of thunder. In the comic books, Inverse reported that she even sacrificed her own life in order to save Thor.

It’s possible that Lady Sif will do the same thing in “Ragnarok.” As a result, Thor will survive and be thrown to the intergalactic gladiator arena, where he will meet his old buddy, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Ruffalo earlier told Entertainment Weekly that the Hulk will be a changed man in the third “Thor” film, and it seems like he’s gotten a better grip on his rage. “He’s much more of a character than the green rage machine you’ve seen in the Avengers movies,” Ruffalo said of his character. “He’s got a swagger. He’s like a god.”

Once he reunites with Thor, the two Avengers will go on a universal road trip. Director Taika Waititi teased that Hemsworth’s comedic chops will be showcased in the movie and guaranteed that fans would absolutely love it. “He’s so good and underutilized in that department,” Waititi said. “He’s legitimately one of the funniest things in this film.”

As for Hiddleston, his mischievous character Loki will be reluctantly on Thor’s side this time around because Hela is an opponent he dares not cross alone. Due to the fact that she destroyed Asgard, Loki will have no choice but to help his half-brother out. “It’s the kind of destruction that both Thor and Loki have never seen, on a scale of terror they’ve never ever seen before. So, they fall back on their brotherhood fractured though it is to see what they can do to stop her,” he told IGN.

They will even be getting some help from the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). One of the things that has gotten Marvel fans excited for “Thor: Ragnarok” is his cameo, although Waititi has kept details of his involvement a huge secret until now.

On the other hand, Hiddleston opened up a little about Loki’s reaction to Doctor Strange. During the end-credits scene of “Doctor Strange,” Thor sought the help of the sorcerer in tracking down his half-brother. With this team-up, Loki should already be feeling threatened. But Hiddleston thinks Loki does not think much of the sorcerer.

I think he probably dismisses Strange,” Hiddleston said about Loki. “Yes, his sorcery is very impressive, but Loki’s been doing that for [a] century so who cares? But Hela is a different beast and full of surprises. [She] actually might have been someone with whom he actually got along, but the circumstances have changed.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released on Nov. 3.
