PGA Tour star Tiger Woods may have had a bit too much to drink at Monday night’s Met Gala after-party.

The 37-year-old golfer stepped out with girlfriend Lindsey Vonn to attend Monday’s annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The world-famous couple posed for pictures on the red carpet before heading to the Gala’s after-party, which was held at the Boom Boom Room at the top of the Standard Hotel.

While Vonn did her best to steer Woods through the sea of celebrities, a source told Us Weekly that the legendary golfer seemed less than relaxed.

"Tiger looked uncomfortable," an eyewitness at the Boom Boom Room told Us Weekly.

According to the source, Woods and Vonn spent time observing the Manhattan skyline before settling into their assigned seats, where they drank and conversed for much of the evening, Us Weekly reports. At one point, a noticeably drunk Woods decided to “dance awkwardly, bobbing from side to side” while flirting with an indulgent Vonn.

By 2 a.m., the witness alleges that Woods had become “tipsy.” The drunk golfer fell while attempting to climb a flight of stairs, remaining on the ground until an embarrassed Vonn arrived to help him to his feet. The former Olympic skier then led a swaying Woods to a nearby exit.

Woods and Vonn have been dating publicly since March, when the divorced golfer posted a Facebook message to acknowledge the relationship. "Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating,” Woods wrote. He famously separated from wife Elin Nordegren in 2010 after an infamous adultery scandal.

The Met Gala appearance marked the first time that Woods and Vonn had appeared on a red carpet as a couple, attending as guests of Vogue magazine. The pair declined to be interviewed by reporters.
