Tim Tebow’s Brother, Peter, Happy After Denver Broncos Loss

Many Denver residents had their weekend ruined with the Broncos loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night. The No.1 seed in the AFC blew a lead in the final minute of their divisional round game with the Ravens, eventually falling in double overtime and being eliminated from the playoffs.

Tim Tebow’s brother, however, made it clear that he wasn’t grieving because of the Ravens' 38-35 win.

“Am I the only one in Denver who’s happy right now?” tweeted Peter Tebow, the older brother of Tim Tebow. Peter lives in Colorado, where he is a ministry leader.

Peter didn’t directly say he was happy about the Broncos loss, but his tweet seemed to indicate that he wanted to see Denver eliminated. He took to Twitter shortly after the game ended, and has some incentive to root against the team.

Tim Tebow led the Broncos to an AFC West title as the team’s starter in 2011. He even helped Denver win their only home playoff game, throwing a game-winning touchdown to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After achieving success as the team’s starting quarterback, Denver decided to trade Tebow to the New York Jets. They replaced him with Peyton Manning, who fell to 9-11 for his career in the postseason.

In his first year with the Jets, Tebow barely had an impact on the team’s 6-10 season. He ran the ball just 39 times and passed eight more. There have been rumors that New York will either trade or release him before the 2013 season.
