Tina Fey can handle a nip slip like no one else. The 43-year-old funny lady suffered a wardrobe malfunction while at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, and what better way to address an embarrassing situation than to make fun of it on national television? Fey’s supposed nip slip on Sunday was so tiny, only the sharpest of viewers were able to see it. But thanks to the Internet, the image soon went viral.
For a skit that aired on “Saturday Night Live,” the “30 Rock” creator stood alongside Keenan Thompson, 35, for her return to the show. She promised there would not be another malfunction, but then gave a real treat to viewers. The nearly two-minute promo, which was posted on Tuesday, has already garnered more than 70,000 views on YouTube.
The two actors first tell viewers why they should watch the show, and promise there will not be any nip slips. “There will be no more wardrobe malfunctions like at the Emmys," Thompson said.
That's when everything goes “wrong” for the comedian. "It's not going to happen, you guys, it's under control!" Fey said.
Then she opens her arms to bare her breasts, which are entirely blurred out. "Forgot my shirt," she said, and Thompson just looks on with wide eyes. She bowed her head down lower and repeated, “Forgot my shirt.”
Fey is coming back to “SNL” to host the premiere on season 39, which will air on NBC Saturday at 11:30 p.m. EDT. The musical guest will be Arcade Fire.
