New Xbox One updates will lead to a better, improved “Titanfall” experience, said Microsoft. “On March 4, in advance of what is expected to be the biggest game launch of the year, we will be delivering another system update to prepare your Xbox One for ‘Titanfall,’” Chief Product Officer Marc Whitten posted on Microsoft’s Xbox blog on Feb. 5. “This update will contain many new features and improvements, most significantly to our party and multiplayer systems.”

Microsoft recently announced a number of updates launching on the next-gen console on Feb. 11. Whitten also talked about these improvements, which include the ability to see and manage storage space, a battery power indicator, the ability to control one's install lineup and the usage of a USB keyboard with the Xbox One.

“Xbox One is a platform for continuous innovation and new consumer experiences over time. Just as we did with Xbox 360, Xbox One will have regular updates to deliver new features and platform experiences designed to delight you. We’re always listening to you and we love your feedback, so keep it coming," Whitten said.

There’s undoubtedly a considerable amount of pressure on EA and Respawn Entertainment with the upcoming launch of “Titanfall.” Respawn founder Vince Zampella admitted he was a bit anxious over the impending March release date. When asked by a fan on Twitter if he was excited for the first-person shooter to hit shelves, Zampella responded with “yes, but mixed with a bit of fear. We want the launch to be as smooth as possible. Beta should help.”

Though EA’s QA department may have been slacking in 2013, we’re remaining optimistic about “Titanfall.” Unfortunately, last year’s “Battlefield 4” and “SimCity 5” were ridden with errors and bugs upon their releases. As Forbes put it on Feb. 5, “’Titanfall’ needs to be perfect, as perfect as a Nintendo release, bug-free with flawless online.” "Titanfall's" beta was confirmed at the end of January but no official date has been set.

“Titanfall" will launch on March 11 in North America and two days later in Europe. The title has already won more than 60 awards at its E3 2013 premiere, including a record-breaking six E3 Critics Awards. “Titanfall” also won Best in Show awards from IGN, Destructoid and Game Informer.

In the game, players are able to fight on foot or as free-running pilots inside mech-style walkers called “Titans” to complete team missions and goals. The title is online multiplayer only, but it injects single-player elements such as plot, character interaction and non-player characters into its matches. Up to 12 players can participate at once.
