Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams have agreed to co-produce the fourth “Mission Impossible film with a possible 2011 release date, Variety reported Wednesday.

No writers have been hired to work on the film yet as of Wednesday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

It is unknown if Cruise will star again or if Abrams will direct. The pair are only attached to the project as producers, a spokeswoman told the Associated Press on Friday.
