Tomi Lahren has been announced Wednesday as a contributor for Fox News Channel. The conservative commentator's latest gig is an upgrade from her claim to fame and former post under The Blaze, a conservative media company founded by Glenn Beck. Lahren confirmed the news in a Facebook post. She revealed that her debut appearance in the contributor role will begin Wednesday night on Sean Hannity's program, "Hannity."

"This exciting new step will allow me to give voice to all the America-loving patriots who have had my back since day one," Lahren wrote on Facebook Wednesday. "I will remain a solid and passionate advocate for you. Thank you for following me on my journey."

Lahren added, "The Fox News digital future is bright and I can't wait to take it to new heights! There is so much more to come and I am blessed to partner with Fox News on this next adventure."

Lahren's announcement was met with mixed reactions from Twitter users. Several conservative users and known media figures offered congratulatory messages to Lahren. However, many opposers to Lahren shared their distaste in the announcement.

"But all the liberals said Tomi Lahren's career was over," Media Analyst Mark Dice wrote in a tweet alongside a laughing face emoji.

"@TomiLahren Congrats on Fox News deal, help pull it back to the right," one user wrote.

"I am incredibly disappointed in Fox for working with Tomi Lahren," one user wrote in a tweet. "Garbage content just to make money."

Several users revealed that they weren't surprised that Lahren secured the contributor position.

"Tomi Lahren in many ways has been auditioning for her fox job for the past couple years," the Young Turks host Hasan Parker wrote in a tweet. "It's expected what scary is those ideas r popular af."

"So Tomi Lahren has horrible taste in political theory & music," one user wrote after comparing a tweet Lahren shared of Taylor Swift's latest single, which has also received mixed reviews. "Figures."

"As if there was anywhere else you were gonna end up," a third user added. "Question is why it took so long."

Many Twitter users also see Lahren's Fox News channel position as an opportunity for her to depart her parents' health insurance plan. "Yeah! Now @TomiLahren can get off her parent's Obamacare, which she hates so much," one user tweeted.

Before joining Fox News, Lahren secured a variety of positions within the conservative realm. She worked for Super PAC Great America Alliance to aid in Donald Trump's 2020 presidential re-election bid. Lahren also hosted "On Point with Tomi Lahren" on One America News Network. However, she is most known by social media users for her work with The Blaze.

Lahren previously hosted "Tomi" on The Blaze. The show tackled controversial political topics including the Black Lives Matter movement, feminism and liberals as "snowflakes," among other issues.

Lahren had a falling out with The Blaze after revealing she was pro-choice on The View in March. The Blaze terminated her two-year contract that would've lasted until September after Lahren's pro-choice revelation. Lahren's firing led her to file a lawsuit against her former company and boss, Beck.

The lawsuit was settled in May at a court in Dallas County. The right-wing commentator was allowed to keep the Facebook page — which currently holds over 4 million likes — that The Blaze created for her, according to the Dallas Morning News. However, she was required to return all of The Blaze’s intellectual property posted to the Facebook page. Such property included videos produced by the media company that featured Lahren, some of which amassed over 60 million views.
