Enjoy tonight’s new episode of “Saturday Night Live” because it’s the last one fans will see until the new year. Luckily, the NBC show has brought back some veterans to entertain viewers. This week’s musical guest has been on “SNL” more than half a dozen times.

Foo Fighters are returning to “SNL” on Dec. 16. The band — which currently consists of Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffe — is promoting their latest album, “Concrete and Gold,” which came out in September.

They’re also in the midst of a world tour. Foo Fighters will play concerts in the U.S. as well as Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and more next year. “SNL,” however, is familiar territory. The boys have appeared at least six times on the show previously.

Lead singer Grohl has often done more than just sing. He has appeared in a few sketches over the years, so “Saturday Night Live” fans will have to wait and see if the frontman will show off his comedy skills.

Is SNL new tonight?

They aren’t the only experienced guests this week. Kevin Hart will host “SNL” for the third time. The comedian is promoting his new film, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” which hits theaters Dec. 20.

The reboot features high schoolers finding a vintage Jumanji video game. Four very different teens play while in detention, and they literally get sucked into the world of the game. They take the bodies of their avatars, leaving the geeks in the athletic bodies and the popular kids in the less attractive bodies. Hart plays a high school athlete trapped in the body of a short zoologist.

Hart took a photo in the hallway of Studio 8H, where “SNL” is filmed, and posted on Instagram. He wrote about how thankful he was for the opportunity to come back. “So much history in this building....So grateful for the opportunities that have come my way....Looking forward to a new year and new accomplishments. Make sure y’all tune into @nbcsnl this Saturday!!!” he wrote in the caption.
