London has been named the top Fashion Capital of the world for 2011, according to the latest ranking by the Global Language Monitor (GLM).

London has overtaken New York City as the Top Global Fashion Capital for 2011, Austin, Texas-based media analytics company said in a statement on Wednesday

London and New York were followed by Paris, Milano, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Barcelona, Singapore, Tokyo and Berlin rounded out the top ten, GLM said.
