The top after-market Nasdaq gainers Thursday were Oplink Communications, Sequenom Inc, ABIOMED Inc, Nathan's Famous Inc and Electronic Arts Inc.

The top after-market Nasdaq losers were Marvell Technology Group Ltd, 21Vianet Group Inc, Life Partners Holdings Inc, America's Car-Mart Inc and ScanSource Inc.

Gainers

Oplink Communications Inc (OPLK) shares climbed 5.05 percent to $14.98 in after-hours trading Thursday. The company reported the fourth quarter loss of $5.2 million or a loss of $0.27 per share versus a net income of $26.3 million or earnings of $1.23 per share in the prior year due mainly to a non-recurring deferred tax assets charge.

However, excluding items, adjusted earnings for the fourth quarter were $3.8 million or earnings of $0.19 per share, beating the analysts' expectation of $0.12 per share for the fourth quarter.

The shares of Sequenom Inc (SQNM) rose 1.39 percent in post-market to close at $3.65. The company shares have a 52-week low of $2.65, a 52-week high of 6.22 and 412.43 million in market capitalization.

ABIOMED Inc (ABMD) shares advanced 1.49 percent to $19.80 in the post-market trading. The company shares dropped 4.92 percent in regular trading Thursday.

Nathan's Famous Inc (NATH) shares gained 1.39 percent and reached $ 33.53 in after-hours trading. The company shares have a 52-week trading range of $18.32 - $33.33 and a market capitalization of 145.59 million.

Electronic Arts Inc (EA) shares surged 1.38 percent to $14.00 in after-hours trading. The company shares surged after the reports that the video game publisher was exploring a sale option.

Losers

Marvell Technology Group Ltd (MRVL) shares slumped 9.61 percent to $4.27 in post-market trading Thursday. The company shares declined after it gave a lower-than-expected earnings forecast for the quarter ending October. The company said the earnings excluding items would be 24 cents per share, against the market expectation of 32 cents per share. Sales forecast is at $800-$850 million versus the analysts' expectation of $913 million.

21Vianet Group Inc (VNET) shares plunged 7.30 percent to $9.27 in post-market trading. The company reported the second quarter net profit of RMB 18.0 million or RMB 0.30 per American Depositary Share, or ADS, compared to the net loss of RMB29.6 million or RMB0.66 per ADS in the comparable quarter last year.

Life Partners Holdings Inc (LPHI) shares lost 6.72 percent in the after-hours trading to reach $ 2.22. The company shares plunged after Attorney General Greg Abbott in a complaint filed Wednesday in an Austin, Texas, court accused the company and its Life Partners Inc unit of fraudulently selling the unregistered securities to the investors.

America's Car-Mart Inc (CRMT) shares dropped 6.17 percent to $ 45.60 in after-hours trading. The company announced the first quarter earnings below analysts' expectations. The net income for the quarter declined to $8.1 million from $8.3 million in the corresponding period last year. On a per-share basis, the earnings increased to 83 cents from 78 cents a year ago but missed the analysts' expectation of 87 cents per share.

ScanSource Inc (SCSC) shares dropped 4.70 percent to $28.40 in after-market trading. The company shares have a 52-week low of $26.41, a 52-week high of 39.74 and 821.84 million in market capitalization.
