Gainers

Harvest Natural Resources Inc. (HNR) shares climbed 84.63 percent to $9.01 in post-market trading. The company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HNR Energia B.V., had signed a definitive Share Purchase Agreement with PT Pertamina to sell all of the company's interests in Venezuela for $725.0 million in an all-cash transaction.

McEwen Mining Inc. (MUX) shares surged 4.55 percent to $2.99 in post-market trading. The company stock slumped more than 11 percent in regular trading.

BRF-Brasil Foods S.A. (BRFS) shares gained 3.43 percent to $16.00 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $14.83, a 52-week high of $21.70 and $13.45 billion in market capitalization.

AVX Corp. (AVX) shares advanced 3.41 percent to $10.92 in post-market trading. The company has developed the smallest RF thin film tight tolerance capacitor in the market.

Parker Drilling Co. (PKD) shares rose 3.35 percent to $4.48 in post-market trading. The company stock plunged nearly 9 percent in regular trading.

Losers

Ryder System, Inc. (R) shares slumped 8.88 percent to $37.13 in post-market trading after lowering its second quarter and fiscal 2012 earnings outlook. The company currently expects second quarter earnings to be in the range of $0.90 to $0.95 per share and fiscal 2012 earnings to be in a range of $3.65 to $3.85 per share, down from its prior estimation of $1.07 to $1.12 per share for the second quarter and $4.02 to $4.12 per share for the full year 2012.

Associated Estates Realty Corp. (AEC) shares plunged 3.82 percent to $14.35 in post-market trading. The company announced Thursday that it planned to sell 5,500,000 of its common shares in an underwritten public offering.

Main Street Capital Corp. (MAIN) shares fell 1.87 percent to $23.06 in post-market trading. The company announced Thursday that it had priced a public offering of 3,750,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering.

Renren Inc. (RENN) shares declined 1.78 percent to $4.42 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $3.21, a 52-week high of $11.99 and $1.73 billion in market capitalization.
