Ship Finance International Ltd. (NYSE:SFL) shares slumped 6.22 percent to $16.43 in post-market trading. The company announced Thursday that it intended to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $250 million aggregate principal amount of its Convertible Senior Notes due 2018.

Molycorp Inc. (NYSE:MCP) shares fell 2.69 percent to $6.88 in post-market trading after plunging more than 10 percent in regular trading.

American Water Works Co Inc. (NYSE:AWK) shares fell 2.59 percent to $37.59 in post-market trading. The company announced Thursday that it expected 2012 earnings per share from the continuing operations to be at the low-end of the previously announced range of $2.12 to $2.22, prior to taking into account its $7 million donation to the American Water Charitable Foundation.
