The top after-market NYSE gainers Friday were Titanium Metals, Ion Geophysical, Precision Castparts, ITT Educational Services and Valhi Inc. The top after-market NYSE losers were Willbros Group, PHH Corp, Quicksilver Resources, Alon USA Energy and WMS Industries.

Gainers

Titanium Metals Corp. (TIE) shares rallied 42.52 percent to $16.49 in post-market trading. The company announced Friday that it had entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE: PCP) agreed to acquire all of the common stock of Titanium Metals for $16.50 per share in cash.

Ion Geophysical Corp. (IO) shares surged 5.32 percent to $6.09 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $5.21, a 52-week high of $8.79 and $902.37 million in market capitalization.

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCP) shares surged 4.33 percent to $178.75 in post-market trading. The company announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Titanium Metals Corporation (TIE) for $16.50 per share in cash.

ITT Educational Services Inc. (ESI) shares rose 4.26 percent to $18.23 in post-market trading. The company stock plunged nearly 4 percent in regular trading.

Valhi Inc. (VHI) shares surged 4.17 percent to $12.00 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $10.67, a 52-week high of $21.69 and $3.91 billion in market capitalization.

Losers

Willbros Group Inc. (WG) shares plunged 6.65 percent to $4.54 in post-market trading. The company stock climbed more than 7 percent in regular trading.

PHH Corp. (PHH) shares plunged 5.93 percent to $19.26 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $8.75, a 52-week high of $22.74 and $1.16 billion in market capitalization.

Quicksilver Resources Inc. (KWK) shares plunged 5.12 percent to $2.89 in post-market trading. The company stock was reiterated with a “neutral” rating at Zacks.

Alon USA Energy Inc. (ALJ) shares fell 4.57 percent to $13.69 in post-market trading. The company stock surged more than 5 percent in regular trading.

WMS Industries Inc. (WMS) shares declined 4.49 percent to $14.66 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $13.90, a 52-week high of $25.30 and $838.39 million in market capitalization.
