VisionChina Media Inc. (VISN) advanced 12.40 percent to $4.35 in the pre-market session. The company said it entered into a securities purchase agreement with Focus Media Holding Ltd. (FMCN), pursuant to which Focus Media will buy 15.33 million newly issued common shares of VisionChina Media at $3.979 a share, equivalent to $3.979 per ADS, for a total consideration of around $61.0 million.

Qiao Xing Universal Resources, Inc. (XING) jumped 11.44 percent to $3.02 in the pre-market trading. The company said it has posted some pictures taken from its newly acquired Xinyuan Lead-zinc-copper Mine in Chifeng city of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on its website. The company also expects to launch a new website early in January to replace the existing one to reflect its focus in the recourses industry.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. (ENDP) soared 3.78 percent to $36.55 in the pre-market session. The company said FDA approved its Fortesta Gel for the treatment of low testosterone (hypogonadism), a medical condition characterised by low sex drive, poor erections, and depression, among others. The company expects to introduce Fortesta Gel in the U.S. in early 2011.

XOMA Ltd. (XOMA) climbed 3.33 percent to $5.27 in the pre-market trading.

Akorn Inc. (AKRX) surged 3.13 percent to $6.59 in the pre-market trading.

Ossen Innovation Co., Ltd. (OSN) improved 3.06 percent to $5.05 in the pre-market session. The stock reached a new high of $5.39 during Wednesday's regular trading, after its American depository shares begin trading on Dec. 21.

ASML Holding NV (ASML) grew 1.52 percent to $38.63 in the pre-market session.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) gained 0.65 percent to $52.38 in the pre-market trading.

Aixtron AG (AIXG) rose 0.57 percent to $37.13 in the pre-market trading.

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) increased 0.37 percent to $5.48 in the pre-market session.
