Two of top UBS AG investment bankers, Cary Kochman and Jim Glerum, have left the firm to join Citigroup , yet another blow to the investment bank grappling with an exodus of senior dealmakers.

Kochman, who joined UBS in 2004 and was named global co-head of mergers and acquisitions in March, will become head of North America M&A at Citi based in Chicago, Citi said in a statement on Wednesday.

Glerum, a diversified industrials banker, will become chairman of Citi's regional banking for North America. UBS announced earlier on Wednesday that Glerum and a few other bankers have left the firm.

Kochman and Glerum are joining their former colleagues who have moved from UBS to Citi in recent weeks, including Kevin Cox and Francis Tucci.

Scores of UBS bankers have left in the last three years as the financial crisis hit the Swiss bank hard and forced it to put unpopular curbs on compensation.
