The State of Michigan is located in the Great Lakes Region of the United States of America. The name Michigan is a French adaptation of the Ojibwe word mishigama, meaning "large water" or "large lake". Michigan is the eighth most populous state in the United States. It has the longest freshwater shoreline of any political subdivision in the world, being bounded by four of the five Great Lakes, plus Lake Saint Clair.

July soybeans were trading 2 1/2 cents higher near 7:30 cst. China futures were unchanged overnight and Palm oil futures in Malaysia closed 2% higher. Hong Kong shares finished marginally higher last night but that market still saw losses for the week. (May 25)
