Toronto Becomes Largest North American City To Outlaw Plastic Bags

Toronto, Canada has become the biggest city in North America to impose an outright bans of plastic bags.

A city of 2.6-million, Toronto follows on the heels of similar measured taken by the U.S. cities of San Francisco and Seattle, as well as Fort McMurray, Alberta.

However, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford opposed the ban, calling it the dumbest thing council has done.
