Toshiba Corporation on Sunday at International CES 2008 announced diverse line-up of technologies, including its newly enhanced LCD flat panel line and second generation HD DVD players.

Toshiba is rolling out 13 new REGZA models including new high level picture technologies, larger screen sizes and high-gloss cosmetic design, following a move to build on the momentum from its May 2006 REGZA brand launch.

Toshiba's REGZA LCD line includes new models ranging from 26 diagonally measured all the way up to 57 diagonally measured - the 52 and 57 screen sizes are new and on display at CES.

Scott Ramirez, Vice President of Marketing, said Toshiba's best selling flat panel range from $500 to $900 in price, but generates 45.3 percent of sales. Ramirez expects continued development in that category line.

The flat panel industry in 2007 has seen 153 percent growth from last year, while Toshiba's flat panel sales has reported 383 percent growth, 2.5 times against the flat panel industry growth, said Ramirez.

Toshiba also announced it has successfully introduced its second generation HD DVD players, building on its early lead in the market and proving the strength of the HD DVD format.

It's with great satisfaction that we announce the successful launch of Toshiba's second generation HD DVD players, said Jodi Sally in CES, Vice President of Marketing, Toshiba America Consumer Products Digital A/V Group.

All new LCD flat panel categories will be release early spring.
