Although she seems on top of the world following her romantic engagement to John Cena at WrestleMania 33, Nikki Bella revealed she won’t be returning to the ring anytime soon.

On Tuesday, Bella shared a photo of her WWE costume on Instagram with a message to fans that supported her throughout the years.

“This isn’t goodbye, just need time to heal. When the day is right I will be back and hopefully then.... BRIE MODE will be ACTIVATED!” the “Total Divas” star wrote, referring to her twin sister Brie Bella who has taken a break from wrestling due to her pregnancy with her first child.

“Can’t wait for the day I can lace up my kicks, throw on my jersey, put on my SnapBack and come back home. Until then.... Stay Fearless Bella Army!” Nikki Bella wrote.

Following a neck injury in 2015, Bella received surgery which took her out of the ring for quite some time. However, since the surgery, the wrestler is still having some problems with her neck.

During an interview with E! News, the WWE star revealed that she would no longer be a full-time wrestler due to her neck. “Recently I had to get MRIs and CT scans and we realized that I have a slight herniation above where I had surgery, which isn’t good, which means I have to take time off and I have to heal. And hopefully when that heals, if it does, I can get back in the ring,” she explained.

Despite her injury, it’s clear that Bella has every intention of returning to the ring, fans will just have to be patient until she is completely recovered.
