New rumors have started taking shape with the January transfer window in sight and one such suggests that Premier League champions Manchester United have their sights set on Chelsea's young Belgian target Kevin De Bruyne, who bedazzled scouts sent by the Red Devils. De Bruyne currently plays for Belgian heavyweights Racing Genk.

The 20-year-old is said to be on Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas' radar after the sides met in a Champions League earlier this month. Now the Blues have been heavily linked with the young playmaker, who is currently considered as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.

De Bruyne, who scored an impressive hat-trick against Club Brugge in a league match on Saturday, will be, should Man United manage to secure his services, amongst youngsters like Javier Hernandez, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, as the English champions look to build for the future. According to a Caughtoffside report, Man United is trying to lure De Bruyne away from Genk with an offer of £10 million.

The youngster, who can play either as an attacking midfielder or a winger, began his career with Gent in 2003. He joined his current club two years later and made his first team debut in a 3-0 defeat at Charleroi on May 9, 2009.

De Bruyne scored his first goal on February 7, 2010, securing three points for Genk in a 1-0 win against Standard Liège. He has made 65 appearances for his club and has managed to score seven times.
