Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen won big at the U.S. box-office in its five-day opening run, earning $201.2 million.

Audiences worldwide flocked to the film in theaters, with a global take of $387 million. It earned $112 million over the weekend in the U.S., as measured from Friday to Monday.

The film was a success with audiences, despite poor reviews from professional critics. Only 21 percent of critics gave the film a positive review, according to reviews aggregation site Rottentomatoes.com.

The film, directed by Michael Bay, also did well for special IMAX screenings, earning $14.4 million in 169 theaters, more than 7 percent of the film's U.S. total on less than 2 percent of the screens.
