Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean is the most isolated inhabited island in the world, according to its website.

Located in the South Atlantic Ocean, the island is about 2000 miles from the coast of Brazil and 1750 miles from the nearest coastline of South Africa is inhabited by 264 British Citizens.

The island has a volcano and the only way to get there is by boat. It has a rugged mountain landscape and a harsh climate with heavy rain and high winds at all seasons.
