“True Blood” has just released a new trailer for season 6. Fans are eagerly awaiting the June 16 return of the show and have been delighted with its 90-second YouTube preview.

Of course, it was also filled with titillating clips of blood, sex and action, which has become a standard of pretty much every “True Blood” episode.

Season 5 left Trubies wondering what would happen after Vampire Bill was seemingly killed in the final episode. It’s clear from the preview, however, that he’s back in the war raging against vamps and humans.

The mortals are equipped with weapons to fight the living dead, and it seems there might be something for the vampires to fear this time around.

"I can barely remember the last time I wasn't in danger," Sookie (Anna Paquin) says in the trailer. "I want my life back." The protagonist has continually been in trouble since the show began. Most recent developments have exposed Sookie as a fairy with powerful abilities.

Last season focused on some of the local Louisiana vampires finding god, and, according to the Huffington Post, Bill is going to continue his journey to as a demonic super vamp. He looks battered in the extended-teaser but still has Jessica by his side.

Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) has presumably been taken hostage as Sookie continues to grapple with her fairy powers. The Bill, Eric, Sookie love-triangle will be taking a break, with Ben (Rob Kazinsky) playing her love interest this season, Business Insider wrote.

In strange clips, Lafayette seems to be dunking Sookie’s head into water and reigning werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) is shown multiple times without his shirt on.

New episodes of “True Blood” can be seen on HBO every week at 9/8c.
