Vampires, shapeshifters, werewolves, faeries and … “The Figure”? The world of “True Blood” has a lot of baddies lurking around, and the seventh and final season won’t slow down. The latest scoop to leak from the long-running HBO series is that a new villain is coming – “The Figure.”

According to a casting call acquired by TV Line, “The Figure” is described as “scary, hulking, ugly, mean and crafty … like Leatherface or Jason Voorhees, but this guy talks.”

This menacing character is a big change from the previous villains to plague the residents of Bon Temps. From the psychotic vampire king of Mississippi, Russell Edgington; to sexy and desperate Warlow; to power-hungry Governor Burrell and his vamp camp – “True Blood” fans haven’t been afraid of a villain based on his looks. But it sounds like that will all change when “The Figure” is introduced in the season premiere, “Jesus Gonna Be Here.” And while details on the character are scarce, it’s easy to assume that he’ll be from the supernatural realm. The question is whether he is some sort of grotesque vampire, or a new deadly entity.

What will “The Figure” want from Sookie, Bill, Eric and the gang? “True Blood” viewers will have to wait and find out, but Jason’s Ryan Kwanten warns that the series won’t end nicely. “People are going to be dying,” Kwanten dished to Access Hollywood. “Some of your favorites are going to not last the season, unfortunately.”

When “True Blood” left off, many humans in Bon Temps were in the middle of striking up protection for blood deals with their local fangers. But what the residents didn’t realize is that a horde of rabid Hep-V infected vampires had just entered the town … and wanted blood. Sookie, Alice, Arlene, Jessica, Tara and the others in Bon Temps weren’t the only ones whose lives were left dangling in the air at the end of Season 6. Viewers watched as Eric took advantage of Warlow’s blood by doing some naked reading on top of a snow covered mountain. But Eric was caught off guard when Warlow’s hybrid faerie blood wore off, leaving the blonde vampire to burst into flames with no shelter in sight.

The seventh and final season of “True Blood” will premiere on HBO in June 2014. What are your thoughts on “The Figure”? Who do you think will die in Season 7? Let us know your thoughts and theories in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
