President Donald Trump has a history of making comments about his daughter Ivanka which seem straight out of a cringe comedy. Whether it is him talking about her during an interview or during a media address, the president has always triggered negative responses with the way he addresses her in the public eye. The two have always seemed to share a different comrade than a traditional father-daughter relationship and this time was no different.

While addressing the crowd at a tax reform event in North Dakota on Wednesday, Trump said Ivanka really wanted to be there at the event as he called her on stage to join him. “Come on up, honey. She's so good. She wanted to make the trip. She said, 'Dad, can I go with you?' She actually said, 'Daddy, can I go with you?' I like that, right? 'Daddy, can I go with you?'

Twitter was quick to react on Trump's remarks.

A Twitter user by the name Ira Madison III, an Entertainment writer in The Daily Beast shared a graphic about how Trump is ruining the word ‘Daddy’ for everyone.

Tracy Clayton, another Twitter user wrote, “Trump has taken so much from me. I will not allow daddy talk to be one of them. Scrub the internet of this moment's existence immediately.”

However, this wasn’t the first time Trump made a remark on his daughter that has not gone down well. The president and his daughter appeared on The Dr. Oz Show in September 2016. As soon as they greeted each other the host commented saying that it is nice to see a father kiss his daughter. To this Trump replied saying that he kisses Ivanka everytime he gets a chance. The comment was then edited out of the final cut of the show when it went on air, according to the reports in The Independent.

Similarly, in 2013, the father-daughter duo appeared on The Wendy Williams Show where Ivanka was asked about the favorite thing she has in common with her dad to which she replied either real estate or golf. However, when Trump was asked the same question, he said, 'Well, I was going to say sex, but I can't relate that to her', pointing to Ivanka.

During a television interview in The View in 2006, when Trump appeared with Ivanka to promote a TV show, he was asked by the host about his reaction if his daughter posed for Playboy. To this Trump replied, "It would be really disappointing — not really — but it would depend on what's inside the magazine. I don't think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."

The video of the interview was posted by What Trump says on Youtube.

In 2003, while talking to Howard Stern on his radio show, the president bragged about his 22-year old daughter saying that she is one of the greatest beauties of the world and that he created.

“My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body. She made a lot of money as a model—a tremendous amount,” Trump said at the time.
