RTTNews - Wednesday, a report from the Turkish Statistical Institute said the industrial output decreased 17.4% year-on-year in May, slower than a 18.5% drop in the preceding month. Economist expected a fall of 15.8%.

During the month, mining output contracted 12.9% annually, while manufacturing output fell 19%. Production of utilities was down 5.5%. Among the sectors, capital goods showed the biggest decrease of 35.8%.

Month-on-month, industrial output increased 5% in May, faster than a 1.4% rise in the preceding month.
