RTTNews - Monday, a report by the Turkish Statistical Office or Turkstat said industrial production dropped 18.5% year-on-year in April, after a 20.9% fall in the previous month. Economists expected a decline of 18%.

During the month, manufacturing output slipped 20.6% on an annual basis, while mining and utilities production were down 5.4% and 5.3% respectively. Among the industrial groups, capital goods production decreased the most by 41.8%.

Month-on-month, industrial output climbed 1.4% in April.
