Wednesday, a report by the Turkish Statistical Institute or Turkstat said the industrial turnover dropped 15.5% year-on-year in February.

Turnover fell 15.8% in the manufacturing sector, on an annual basis, while it was down 4.1% in the mining sector.

Month-on-month, industrial turnover rose 0.6% in February.

Meanwhile, the new orders dropped 20.2% year-on-year in February, and fell 3.1% compared to the previous month.

During the month, new orders decreased the most for capital goods, by 31%. This was followed by a 25.8% decline in orders for durable capital goods.
