The Turkish currency bounced back from European session's 6-day low of 1.6228 against the US dollar during New York trading on Wednesday. The lira advanced to 1.5833 versus the greenback by about 12:00 pm ET, which may be compared to Tuesday's New York session close of 1.6005.

According to a report released by the US Commerce Department on Wednesday, wholesale inventories fell 1.5 percent in February following a revised decrease of 0.9 percent in January.

The Mortgage Bankers Association revealed that its market index of mortgage application volume rose 4.7 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis for the week of April 3rd, following a 3 percent rise last week.
