Fandango, a subsidiary of Comcast that sells movie tickets, said The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 movie, which opens Nov. 17 at midnight, has already sold out out more than 2,500 showtimes on its Web site.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, commonly referred to as Breaking Dawn, is an upcoming two-part romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and based on the novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. The two parts form the fourth and final installment in the popular The Twilight Saga series. Part 1 will be released on Nov. 18, 2011, and Part 2 on Nov. 16, 2012.

All three main cast members, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will reprise their roles in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.

Fandango said theater owners have reported sold-out showtimes across the country, from Kahului, Hawaii to Augusta, Maine, while posting additional showtimes to meet the fan demand. “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” currently represents 93 percent of today’s ticket sales.

According to a Fandango survey of ticket buyers of Breaking Dawn, Part 1, 87 percent have read the book and 61 percent of those who have read the Breaking Dawn book say it's their favorite book of the series.

The survey also highlighted that 72 percent of respondents would like to visit the Breaking Dawn filming locations in Louisiana and 47 percent plan to see the movie as part of a group of friends.

As an added bonus to fans, Fandango is hosting a Twitter party (a virtual party using the Twitter platform) live from the red carpet world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.

In the latest film, the plot starts by focusing on the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), which is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.

After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally consummate their marriage. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.

But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.
